• Tumi Ishi means “piled rocks”. It is a game originating from the ancient, mindful, and creative Japanese practice of stacking and balancing stones. Tumi Ishi can be played by toddlers and adults. Truly a game for the young and young at heart!
• Tumi Ishi Balancing Stones are designed as an upcycling project by our wooden toy manufacturer. Each stone is handmade from high-quality, remnant maple wood offcuts. The stones are natural, eco-friendly, and non-toxic.
• Each wooden building stone is unique in size and shape! Stone sizes vary between 3.5 cm to 5 cm.
• Playing with Tumi Ishi stones improves fine motor skills, concentration, problem-solving skills and develops an understanding of balance. It also teaches children perseverance and resilience – as they face having to rebuild their collapsed tower structures.
